You Are an Influencer (More Than You Think)
Take Heart ShopShare
Did you know that you are an influencer? Maybe not the Instagram or TikTok kind, but you absolutely are.
At the same time, each of us is also under someone’s influence, either God’s or the enemy’s.
Today, I want to invite you to recognize the power of your influence and use it to honor God.
As followers of Christ, we are called to be like thermostats (setting the spiritual “temperature”) rather than thermometers that simply reflect the temperature around us.
"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will." Romans 12:2
This week, let’s intentionally pay attention to who is influencing us, and how we are influencing those around us.
Observe:
- How you respond to a minor frustration, like traffic or a delayed order.
- The words you choose when you’re tired or stressed.
- How you react when someone treats you unfairly.
- What kind of media, music, or voices you’re allowing to shape your thinking.
- Whether your attitude lifts others closer to God or pulls them away.
Your influence is powerful! Let’s use it to point people to Jesus.
“Lord, thank You for the influence You’ve entrusted to me. Renew my mind daily through Your Word, and make me sensitive to the voices that shape my thoughts. Guide my words, my reactions, and my actions so that I draw others closer to You. May my life be a living testimony of Your grace and truth. In Jesus’ name, Amen."
