When God Says Yes… and When He Says No

God’s answers may not always match our desires, but they always flow from His love.
Wouldn't it be great if God did everything we asked, simply because we asked? Then we'd all be healthy and wealthy. We would want for nothing… which also means we'd eventually stop coming to God for anything. See the issue?
God is a good Father. And like any good father, He longs to give us what we ask for. But sometimes His answer is no ❌. Sometimes, He has a different plan for our lives than the plan we've mapped out for ourselves. He sees the big picture of our lives.
Sometimes, though, His answer is yes! We may never know the possibilities of His generosity if we don’t ask. When we have a need, or even a want, He longs for us to come to Him. No matter His answer, He will always pour out His love. ❤️
"Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? … If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask Him!"
Matthew 7:9-11
God’s answers may not always match our desires, but they always flow from His love. Trust that His yes, no, or wait is shaping you for His best.
"Dear Father, thank You for hearing me when I pray. Help me to trust Your wisdom when the answer isn’t what I hoped for. Teach me to lean on Your goodness and rest in Your love, knowing that You give only what is best. In Jesus’ name, amen.
