A Reminder for the Weary Heart
- 1 min reading time
We all know the Holidays can be a difficult season, especially for those walking through loss. When someone we love is no longer with us, the weight of hopelessness can feel overwhelming. Few feelings cut deeper than believing that nothing good is ahead.
If that is where you find yourself today, I want to gently remind you that in Christ, hope is never lost. When we have Him, we carry an inner assurance that even in the darkest moments, good is on the way. God loves you, and He is always working on your behalf to bring hope, peace, and joy back into your life. And ultimately, we hold the greatest hope of all: eternal life in His presence.
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13
Because of this hope, we can keep going. We can keep working, striving, and pressing forward. No matter what today looks like, we can stand firm in this truth: good things are coming.
"Lord Jesus, thank You for being our steady and unshakable hope. When our hearts feel heavy or our days feel dark, remind us that You are near and faithful. Fill us with renewed hope, deep peace, and lasting joy. Help us trust Your promises and walk each day with confidence that You are leading us into good things. Amen."
